The adventure
Journey into a land that time forgot and conquer the pre-Cambrian tabletop summit of Roraima. The stunning mountain is sacred to the region's indigenous people and is said to have inspired Arthur Conan Doyle’s "The Lost World." Take time to explore the unique flora and fauna – some of which is completely unique to the mountain. The trek itself takes six days start to finish but this two-week adventure also includes canoe trips in Canaima National Park and a thrilling trek to Angel Falls. If you're fit and want to get off the beaten track, this adventure will take you to new heights.
Arrive at any time.
Travel first to Ciudad Bolivar before boarding an overnight bus to Santa Elena.
Free time to relax or explore the city while preparing for the trek.
Transfer to Mount Roraima and begin the trek to the summit.
Continue trekking through the Gran Sabana to reach base camp.
Guided hike up the mountain with a full day and a half spent at the summit to appreciate the unique ecosystem and spectacular views into neighboring Brazil and Guyana.
Continue to explore the wonders of this remote landscape.
Continue trekking down from Roraima.
End the trek in Paraitepuy. Return to Santa Elena in the afternoon.
Travel by bus to Ciudad Bolívar.
Fly to Canaima National Park. Continue by boat and hike to the view point of Angel Falls before returning to a jungle lodge for a night in hammocks.
Our day in the area allows us time for maximum enjoyment on the beautiful river beaches and plentiful walking paths.
Fly back to Ciudad Bolivar. Free afternoon or optional city tour.
