The adventure

Step into history and witness the skies align on this extraordinary 10-day journey through Egypt during the 2027 total Solar Eclipse. For one unforgettable moment, the sun will vanish above the Nile — a celestial event that won’t return here in your lifetime. By day, explore legendary temples, timeless rituals, and ancient wonders. By night, drift along the river on a traditional boat, where your exclusive eclipse viewing party awaits. Raise a glass as the world around you falls into shadow, and let the magic of Egypt — past and present — envelop you in an experience unlike any other.

◆Arrive at any time. Attend a welcome meeting to meet your CEO and group. Dinner will be on your own this evening in Cairo.
◆Today, delve into the majesty of the pyramids, starting with the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, dating back to approximately 2600 BC. Conclude your morning with a magnificent view of the Sphinx, the stoic guardian of the Giza Plateau. After an included lunch, immerse yourself in the Grand Egyptian Museum, a site that offers a captivating journey through Cairo's rich history and vibrant modernity. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore at your leisure, and dinner is at your own discretion this evening.
◆Fly from Cairo to Luxor today and visit both Luxor and Karnak temples before boarding your cruise ship on the Nile. Enjoy the scenery along the river as you sail to Qena. Dinner will be enjoyed on the ship this evening.
◆Begin the day with a visit to Dandara Temple, one of Egypt’s best preserved temples. Sail back to Luxor and drive to the West Bank to meet your student guide for walk at the Funtasia Project Centre. This G Adventures-supported initiative has benefited the local community for years. Learn more over tea and an orientation with the students. Then, head to the Valley of the Kings to explore and take in the grandeur of this monumental place. Travel back to the ship for the evening.
◆Get ready this morning for an epic party and a once-in-a-lifetime event! Head to the cruise deck and enjoy the Solar Eclipse Viewing Party. After witnessing the day turn to night in a matter of seconds, toast to the sky. The path of totality will not appear in this region again in any of our lifetimes. After the eclipse, have lunch on board before sailing to Edfu, passing through Esna Lock.
◆Pay a visit to Edfu Temple today which was dedicated to Horus. Head back to the boat and sail to Aswan. Simply enjoy the afternoon sailing along the Nile. Lunch and dinner are included on board. The boat will anchor in Aswan for the evening.
◆The adventure today includes a visit to Philae Temple. Then, sail to Elephantine Island to walk through a Nubian Village where you will learn about their culture and hear their unique spoken language, passed down through generations. Sit down for tea together before a scenic Felucca ride on the Nile around Kitchener Island. The boat will overnight near Aswan.
◆The group will have a free morning to relax or book the optional visit to Abu Simbel. Then, the boat will sail to Kom Ombo with time to recharge on board as the scenery passes by.
◆Experience a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Then, sail to Luxor for a full day of cruising along the Nile.
◆Depart at any time.
