Journey through history-infused Havana and the cobblestoned streets of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then head to Cienfuegos for some relaxing at the beach and a tour of its impressive bay. Visit monuments to the icons of the revolution and experience a side of Cuba few rarely get to see by foregoing hotels most nights for local homestays.

Day 2Visit two key historical sites, including the famous Che monumentHead east along the Carretera Central to the city of Santa Clara, a key location in the history of the Revolution. On the way into town, visit two key historical sites, including the massive Che monument (Santa Clara is also the final resting place of Che Guevara) and the Marta Abreu monument, before settling in for the night.

Day 3Enjoy an orientation walk then opt to take…Travel south through the beautiful Topes de Collantes region to the coastal city and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trinidad. Enjoy an orientation walk of the area to get your general bearings with free time to wander the cobblestoned streets, shop, and experience the great music scene that has made this city famous.

Day 4Spend a day exploring

Spend a day exploring. Opt to hike in nearby Topes de Collantes National Park or visit Ancón Beach for diving, snorkelling or lounging. Savour a home-cooked Cuban meal this evening.

Day 5Orientation walk and boat tour around the Bay…Travel along the coast to Cienfuegos, a delightful and interesting city with a history largely different to that of the rest of the country. Enjoy an included boat ride around the Bay of Cienfuegos, which is nearly 90 sq km.
