Revive your sense of adventure on this jam-packed tour. Hike rainforest trails and summit Mt Kinabalu to watch the sunrise. Our CEOs will provide nature lovers and photographers of all skill levels with an introduction to the highlights of remote Sabah, helping you frame great snapshots of tropical birds and giant flowers. Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and meet these special creatures. And after all the excitement and exercise, there will still be the chance to see baby turtles in their natural habitat. Get off the beaten track and discover the best of Sabah.

Travel to Mt Kinabalu. Option to hike trails.
Head off to conquer Mount Kinabalu. During the first day's climb to Laban Rata, enjoy a packed lunch on the way. The hike can take from 5-7 hrs. Indulge in a buffet-style dinner then rest up for an early start to summit the mountain in the morning.
Summit Mt Kinabalu (3-5hrs) and arrive in time for sunrise. Return to Laban Rata for a rest and to HQ for lunch. Continue on to Poring Hot Springs.
Travel up the Kinabatangan River. Optional nighttime cruise.
Enjoy free time in the area and an afternoon cruise to spot animals along the river.
Visit Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.
Boat trip and overnight on Libaran (Turtle) Island.
Visit Sandakan POW Memorial Park. Opt to visit Sandakan town. Afternoon flight to Kota Kinabalu.

We stay in the jungle and get to observe a vast array of insects, birds and animals in their native environments. Walking along jungle trails and travelling the river by boat you regularly see king fishers, hornbills, macaque, and proboscis monkeys. Very occasionally you may get lucky and see elephants, wild boar, otters, orangutans and other reclusive species.

Day 7Visit Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation CentreSepilok is one of the highlights of the trip where you'll get to meet the adorable 'wild men of Borneo'. Encountering orangutans and their human like features is a truly unforgettable experience. The centre is an excellent example of active conservation, re-introducing domesticated, injured and orphaned orangutans back into the wild.
