Overnight stay in Gamboa.*Panama Canal Jungle & Wildlife Boat Tour: Enjoy a scenic boat ride through the Panama Canal to Gatun Lake, the canal’s central and most vital section. Explore lush jungle surroundings and spot incredible wildlife like monkeys, sloths, toucans, crocodiles, and more. Guided by expert naturalists, you’ll learn about the area's rich biodiversity while cruising past islands formed by the lake’s creation. You’ll also explore the butterfly nursery, where you can observe dozens of insects in various stages of transformation, from caterpillars to butterflies.Next, we’ll head to the frog farm, where you'll find both nocturnal and diurnal frogs, as well as tadpoles in the ponds. We’ll then visit the Sloth Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, an important sanctuary since sloths often suffer injuries due to electric poles or deforestation-related migration. Please note that sloths may or may not be present during your visit, as the center's main goal is to rehabilitate and release them back into the wild—not keep them in captivity.To complete your day, we recommend joining the optional Emberá Indigenous Community visit*. Overnight stay in Gamboa.*Emberá Community Visit: Your guide/driver will take you to a dock where you’ll board a boat for a short ride to the Emberá village. You’ll be welcomed with traditional music and dance, learn about their history and culture, explore the community, and have the chance to purchase handmade crafts. Before heading back, enjoy a delicious traditional lunch of fried fish and patacones (fried green plantains).
