Norway Full Circle: Fjords & Lofoten

Ready to discover the spectacular landscapes and scenic fjords of Norway? Arrive at your departure airport to catch a flight to Oslo*. Night on board.*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

Arrive in Oslo, the capital and largest city of Norway known for its great museums, stunning natural landscapes and cutting-edge coffee culture! Use your Flytoget train ticket to enter the Flytoget terminal at the airport and take the train to the city centre.* From there, head to your hotel for check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Oslo.*Please Note: The included transfer is only from Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) airport via Flytoget train to the city center. At the hotel you will be greeted by the tour guide. You will receive the voucher for the Flytoget train before departure.Note: The meet and greet information will be provided to travelers upon arrival at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a guided tour of Oslo, accompanied by a local guide and our tour leader, where you will stop by the city’s most emblematic sites, including Frogner Park and its Vigeland sculpture complex, City Hall, the Royal Palace and the modern Opera House.Later in the afternoon, drive through approximately 6h lush valleys en route to Geilo, known for its stunning ski resort during the winter, mountain trails and being the gateway to 2 national parks, before stopping to admire the exterior of the 13th century Reinli wooden church*. You will then make your way to the hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight stay in Geilo.Note: The menu is fixed in Geilo and consists of fish. If you have dietary preferences or allergies, please notify us in advance.*If you travel between September and November, you'll visit the beautiful Torpo Church-an interesting wooden structure that houses a fine example of Gothic art-instead of Reinli Church, which is inaccessible due to roadworks.As the completion date of the roadwork is still unknown, it may extend beyond November.

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart towards the Fjord Sognefjord–, one of Bergen’s most impressive natural wonders, to gaze at the incredible scenery that surrounds it. En route, stop by the village of Flåm, located at the foot of the impressively narrow fjord. Here, you will be taking a tour on Norway’s famed Flåm Railway train ride for you to familiarize yourself with the beauty of this region. You will then have free time at leisure before sailing on the Nӕrøyfjord and the Aurlandsfjord in the afternoon. Finally, arrive in Bergen after 3h journey, check-in to your hotel and overnight stay in Bergen.Note: Due to availability and customer comfort, the order of the two excursions may vary depending on the day. Some days, the train tour will be conducted first, while on other days, the cruise will be conducted first.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we take a tour of Bergen with a local guide and our tour leader, passing through the Nordnes district, Holberg Port, the New Church, the Institute of Marine Research, or the Witch's Stone to learn about its fascinating history.We then explore the other side of the peninsula, visiting the Grieg Concert Hall and the Music Pavilion. On our way to Bryggen, we see the picturesque white wooden houses in the Sandviken district, the fortress, St. Mary’s Church, the Bryggen Museum, and conclude at the Hanseatic Wharf.In the afternoon, we travel along Norway’s southwest coast on an unforgettable journey by land and sea, immersing ourselves in Nordic landscapes and cutting-edge infrastructure. We then head to Halhjem and board a ferry to Sandvikvåg, crossing several islands.On our way to the hotel, we visit Føyno, where we traverse the famous Bømla Submarine Tunnel. We continue to Årsvågen to board another ferry to Mortavika and make a stop to see the "Sverd i fjell" monument, commemorating the Battle of Hafrsfjord. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay in Stavanger.Please note: Visits or the order of activities may vary due to factors beyond our control (traffic, area improvements, etc.).

Take part in a fascinating guided tour, led by our tour leader, of the historic center of Stavanger where you will acquaint yourself with the city’s top tourist attractions including a stunning panoramic view of the harbor and the ‘Gamle Stavenger’ from the Valbergtårnet viewpoint. Optionally, you can choose to take part in a cruise along the Lysefjord* before your next transfer.After the tour, you will transfer to Åseral, journey around 3h, known as a renowned ski destination and home to gorgeous natural scenery. Arrive at your hotel for check-in, enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Åseral.*Optional Cruise Along the Lysefjord: Contemplate the majestic Pulpit Rock on a cruise along the Lysefjord, one of the most impressive fjords in the south of the country, located in a stunning natural setting.Please note: The menu is fixed in Åseral and consists of fish. Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we travel east by bus to visit the famous Telemark Canal, a historic waterway in Norway and one of the most iconic in Europe, connecting Skien with Dalen through impressive locks and natural landscapes. Upon arriving in Ulefoss, we take a walking tour of the area, where you can opt to experience this remarkable site from a different perspective with our highly recommended cruise along the Telemark Canal*. If not, you can enjoy views of the area from the bus as we continue to Skien.After lunch, we visit the exterior of Heddal Stave Church, one of the most impressive wooden churches in the country. We then return to Oslo for accommodation.*Telemark Canal Cruise: Admire the beautiful natural surroundings of the canal by cruising from Ulefoss to Skien, a 150 km journey where you can enjoy a delicious slice of cake along with coffee or tea.Important: The visit to the Telemark region is only offered from May 20 to October 4, while the Telemark canal is open for passage. On other dates, you will go straight from Aseral to Oslo where you will have extra time to enjoy this great city independently instead of this activity. If this visit is made, the total journey will be about 7 hours 30 minutes.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, your adventure continues as you prepare for a domestic flight from Oslo to Evenes. Begin your day with a smooth transfer to Oslo Airport using your pre-purchased Flytoget train ticket, ensuring a hassle-free journey. Once you arrive in Evenes, you'll be greeted by a comfortable Flybus (coach) that will whisk you away to the charming city center of Harstad.After your transfer, take the opportunity to check into your hotel and unwind. The rest of the day is yours to explore Harstad’s captivating streets, indulge in local cuisine, or simply relax before your next adventure. Overnight stay in Harstad.Total transfer distance: Oslo to Oslo Airport, approximately 20 minutes by train (50 km). Evenes Airport to Harstad, approximately 1 hour by bus (45 km).

Set off along a scenic route, where stunning landscapes and coastal views will captivate your senses. Your adventure includes visits to the charming villages of Kabelvåg and Henningsvær, each brimming with picturesque beauty and local culture. Stroll through the quaint streets, savor fresh seafood, and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of these coastal gems. Finally, arrive in Svolvær, the vibrant heart of the Lofoten archipelago. Take in the enchanting surroundings and embark on a fascinating guided walking tour. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or explore at your leisure. We also recommend joining our optional activities: a Northern Lights or Full Steam Cruise* and a sunset cruise to spot sea eagles.** Overnight stay in Svolvær. Total transfer distance: approximately 3-4 hours by bus (220 km). *Optional Northern Lights & Full Steam cruise: Learn about local fishing history and culture on this unforgettable evening cruise. Departing from Svolvær harbor, you’ll set off toward Full Steam, a former 200‑year‑old cod steaming factory now transformed into a museum, restaurant, and cultural venue near Henningsvær. Depending on the weather, an underwater drone may be deployed so you can explore the underwater world during the cruise. Guides will share insights about what they see and keep an eye out for the Northern Lights along the way. After about an hour, you’ll arrive at Full Steam. Once you’ve explored the storied site, hop back aboard to sail closer to Henningsvær. Then it's out into the darkness of Vestfjorden for another chance to witness the magical Northern Lights (weather permitting). **Optional sea eagle & sunset cruise: Prepare for an awe-inspiring 1.5-hour boat tour through the breathtaking landscapes of Lofoten, Norway, to see white-tailed eagles in their natural habitat. Departing from Svolvær, this guided tour takes you aboard a hybrid-electric catamaran for a comfortable and sustainable journey. As evening hues paint the skies, appreciate the tranquillity of the Norwegian coast and admire the island of Skrova in the distance.

Breakfast at the hotel. Prepare to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the central and western Lofoten Islands on a full-day tour. Visit the Lofotr Museum to learn about Viking history and culture. Along the way, stop at the charming Bøstad Museum, the picturesque villages of Leknes and Reine, and the famous Ramberg Beach*, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery. Each stop provides unique insights and photo opportunities for a memorable day in the heart of Lofoten. The rest of the day is free, and during the summer season, you can choose to join our optional activity: evening kayaking in Svolvær.** Overnight stay in Svolvær. Total transfer distance: approximately 6 hours by bus (350 km). Total hours of the day: 10 hours approximately. *Please note: Depending on the weather conditions, it may be necessary to change the beach that will be visited. **Optional evening kayaking in Svolvær: Perfect for beginners and experienced kayakers alike, this evening kayak departs fromSvolvær and offers a unique perspective of Lofoten’s coastline. Paddle calm waters while marveling at dramatic mountains, soaking in the quiet, raw beauty of the surroundings—the perfect opportunity for photography. No prior experience is required.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, participate in the rich culture of the Sami people with a visit to a traditional farm in Sortland. Learn about their customs, reindeer herding, and way of life. After your cultural experience, board a ferry* from Fiskebøl to Melbu, where stunning coastal views await.Upon arrival in Harstad, take time to settle in and explore this charming town. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, soaking in the beauty and culture of your surroundings! Overnight stay in Harstad.Total transfer distance: approximately 4-5 hours by bus (200 km) and ferry. *If the group consists of fewer than 10 passengers, the ferry will operate in reverse direction, from Melbu to Fiskebøl, coinciding with the Harstad–Svolvær travel day.

This morning, embark on a scenic ferry ride* from Harstad to Tromsø, keeping in mind that this is a public transportation service, so schedules may vary or be subject to cancellation without notice. Once you arrive in Tromsø, join your tour leader for an engaging walking tour of this vibrant city, rich in history and culture. After that, you’ll have some free time to explore at your own pace or, depending on the season, join some exciting optional activities, like the aurora dinner cruise**, or cod tasting experience.*** Please note that the cod tasting experience, cannot be combined with any of the other optional activities offered on this day. Overnight stay in Tromso. Total transfer distance: approximately 3 hours by ferry (300 km). *If the Harstad–Tromsø ferry does not operate in the morning, departure will be later in the day. As a result, arrival in Tromsø may be in the evening, and the walking tour will therefore take place at night. **Optional aurora dinner cruise: Aboard a quiet hybrid-electric ship, take in the otherworldly atmosphere of an Arctic night. Cruise through the icy waters surrounding Tromsø island, sailing past snow-covered mountains and iconic landmarks such as the Arctic Cathedral. Enjoy a locally sourced, seasonal three-course meal while the friendly crew shares personal stories and local knowledge about the waters and awe-inspiring landscapes. If you’re lucky, the Northern Lights may make an appearance. ***Optional cod tasting experience: Celebrate cod fishing’s rich maritime heritage with a visit to the Full Steam. Spread across multiple floors, the museum offers an immersive experience combining storytelling, tasting, and insight into Norwegian and Arctic culture. Begin with the Cod Fisheries Trilogy, a guided tasting and storytelling experience where you’ll sample cod roe, learn about its origins, and explore the history of cod liver oil. Continue through exhibitions dedicated to Sea Sami culture and traditions, the Arctic environment, and stunning photography of the Northern Lights. If the Harstad–Tromsø ferry does not operate in the morning, the departure will take place later in the day. This may result in arrival in Tromsø at night, and therefore the walking tour will be conducted in the evening. The experience concludes with the Seafarer’s Exhibition, showcasing maritime history through historic vessels and authentic artifacts. During your visit, you’re also welcome to stop by the museum’s restaurant and bar.

Breakfast* at the hotel. Spend your last morning in Tromsø enjoying the sights and sounds of this charming Arctic city. Relax at a cozy café, do some last-minute shopping, or explore any remaining attractions—it's your day to enjoy.When it's time to leave, a Flybussen transfer to the airport is included for a smooth journey home**. Take one last look at the stunning landscapes as you head to the airport, filled with memories of your incredible adventure! Arrive in Canada and end of your trip.Total transfer distance: approximately 15 min by bus (5 km).*Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.**Please note: The last bus from Tromsø to the airport departs at 6:30 PM.
